my blogging experience

Well, it's the first time I have a blog. And I must say that I like to write, tell stories and talk about experiences ... is an activity that has always attracted me but never carried out often .... and less in English! xD because it really makes me a little difficult.
I think personal experiences to write in another language greatly simplifies what you mean. One fails to fully express the intent of the ideas if you do it in another language, especially English.
I enjoyed the experience has helped me to improve my English, and above all to learn many new words. Writing is an essential part of learning a new language, and English is something that almost never practiced.
I think that writing in English has made me improve a lot of my vocabulary. I had to improve, although obligatorily! haha ... I had to strain to find new conjugates verbs and adjectives to write new blog. Another advantage is that I have met colleagues from other disciplines (such as design and architecture) through the postings and the stories they tell in their blogs. They are no longer a stranger more in college, because they now have a sense and recognize (especially in pirka)
One disadvantage may be that we have little time to complete written during the class. If we had more time we could write even better with more details. And we could also write and comment on other interesting aspects of blogging peers. Another disadvantage associated with this, is that I am very slow translating what I really mean in English, but I think it is something that can be fixed with practice.
I wish the tracks to write in English were a free choice. You choose the topic you want to write during the week. Or maybe, instead of having a blog, we could have a facebook, jajaja ... yeaaah! facebookmania !!!..... and we could talk among the students of the course ... XD posting, labeling pictures, comments, upload videos, etc! haha I'm sure we would all be more connected!  :P
Well, it has been said to enjoy! Greetings!

Arrrround the wooooorrrrrlddddd!!!

My ideal vacation would be a trip around the world for a year. This trip I would like to do with my family. And we would go to all of our favorite places we have dreamed.
For example, my sister and my mother would love to know India, they ever dream of bathing in the Ganges River. I think it is not a good idea, every time i see it, it looks a bit unhealthy river xD... To me, personally, i would like to know the Shangri-La route for example; Indonesia, Thailandia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and would end in Nepal (go to the mountains and go to the last of its valleys and rivers)
Asia is my dream to learn, to soak woth their culture so different from ours. After all thats parades, we would know the Polinesia, that would be the preffered destination of my brother, a tropical climate, beautiful women and beutiful beaches.
I once saw a documentary about guys who toured Asia in a sailboat. If i had the boat, i would do the same...

mom_itis

Aaam  :P  ... this is the only photo i have on hand in this moment from my childhood.

This photo was taken by an aunt in her house. I like it because I think it's sweet, I have about 4 years, and i am with my mom. I've always been very attached to her, can be seen in that picture (mamitis jaja) xD

While not a shameful child, then apparently I did not want photographed. It was taken after a birthday. I still remember my red shoes, I felt the best with them.

I have good memories of that time. I kept playiung in my yard all day. Collecting worms and ants, playing with  the dog. I loved that place.

Chicha y Chancho

For me, the best place for to eat and drink is "Las Tejas"... its a very popular restaurant which sells the best "Borgoña" in the city (a drink of wine with custard apple).

This restaurant has a rich history, for many years he was a center for meetings and parties, is a place where traditions are maintained and practiced. Only sells traditional food and traditional drinks such as:

"Porotos con riendas" (which is a dish of beans with sausage and culin)
"Sanguche de pernil": its a leg of pork sandwich (with chili is the best ever!!!)
"Borgoña de Chirimoya": its a drink of wine with custard apple, culd be with berries, but its no so good than with custards!...

Well this place sell things like this! and its no expensive, i never spend more than 6 bucks xD (3 lucas).

I know him for my family, the first time i went was when i was 14, but my family visited this place for years.

Now this place is very popular, and much musical groups of cumbia and folklor plays there. For example: "Chico Trujillo" and "Banda Conmocion".

Its located in San Diego 236, near the Alameda.

I advise you to drink and eat slow, its easy to get carried away by the music and the party atmosphere! jaja

SSTEREOOtypes

in college there are many stereotypes, mainly because there is little relationship between the careers I think. The typical question that design students or architecture students do when we meet is: ahhh geography, and they do?. jaja
In the faculty few students knows about geography, they dont know why geography is in the faculty and what is the relation between all the carrers.
There are also many prejudices that students of geography have on other carrers. Almost everyone thinks that design students are gay, and the architects spend all their time doing demos.
Sometimes it is easy to recognize by clothing, in general, the designers always wear a garment phosphorescent jaja (with much color!!!)... Architects always well dressed, as 'lais' boys, and geographers in general are rather go with hippies or field clothes ever!
I think this can be solved (stereotypes) by creating more instances of joint participation among students, the partys are a good place to stop  prejudice jajaja.

i present to the most important object created in the history of the humakind! tadaaaa! ...

I think my favorite piece of technology is the PC, well, beign more specific: My laptop! (And the best discovery is the Internet!). I have a laptop, and with he i can do anything I want, I use it for everything that I do. But every PC must have the essential: Internet, if no have Internet, is not the same for me, the PC is incomplete. I spend much time online, searching, studying, downloading music, visiting interesting sites in the world, lose much of my free time on my laptop.I got my first PC when I was 15 at Christmas, was incredible, the first thing that i did was install the game: Age of Empires II. The second was finish the game!!... So it was like i lost my fifteen years, being in the computer, installing and playing games all the night jaja..

Now i use my laptop for work, my laptop is fast (i love that) and i can be listening music and working at the same time. I use to write and read my homework, and for be connected with; my family, my friends, people with who i dont i speek very often. the laptop is the future!

back to life... OLD BOY!

Wow, choose my favorite movie is difficult, i love watching movies and i have many that i like. I generally prefer Korean cinema, the movies always have another point of view, and are not commercial, it may be that the characters do not speak or show only images of landscapes, and also continue to be interesting.

Old Boy is a very good movie, is a story of revenge! ...A man is kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years in one room, one day leave him free, without knowing the reason for his imprisonment. They stole 15 years of his life, and do not know why! ... All he feels at the time of release is the thirst for vengeance and hunger for life. Want to feel life again and goes to a restaurant and order a live octopus and then eat it, is a shocking scene! It is a film that has violence, mystery, love, humiliation, hatred, etc ... is a well told story where the main actor plays his role very well .... the best is that you never imagined the end.The film won many festivals! here I leave a scene.

There´s no After!

Every trip I've done has been important to me. I enjoy too much going on vacations with my family, is ever a great time to stay with my brothers and my mom, but i also like go to "mochilear" with my girlfriend or with friends. The Mochileo travel experiences and being with my family are difficult to compare, each is an entertaining and anecdotal experience for me, but i will choose tell about the first time that i came out of "mochileo".
I was 18 or 19 years, and my dream always been known southern Chile, especially the island of Chiloe. I, first wanted go alone, i wanted to make my first trip by myself (in that time i was a little confused in life and wanted to live freedom!) i was very romantic, and i liked the idea of doing what you really want and the carpe diem style.
Just one day before my trip i knew than 2 of my juggling friends also wanted to go on a trip to the south, and we talk and agreed to go all as one big group.
We meet the 7 cups, and we were lost in the seventh region, we met the araucania region and his lakes. We made friends with each truck driver, we listen every history of the persons than we meet. After one week away, we were in Chiloe, we crossed in ferry....It was an unforgettable month was full of experiences and stories. This summer I intend to return to the island after 5 years. I want to reconnect with the forests of the south and the world's most mysterious beach: Cucao!!

Ecologycal models in geography

Well,  I present to Professor Ramiro Bustamante, Ph.D. in ecological sciences. He is academic of the faculty of Biology and Sciences of the University of Chile. He is not Geographer, but he works in so many areas as for example; Ecology, Environment and Ecological of Invasions mixing differents tools like Geographic Information Systems, Statistics of Climatical conditions, Natural Index, and a lot of biological parameters. Are so interesting his studies, i mean, is a way of understanding how nature behaves!, it's like anticipating the future. He has made numerous works about the habitats of plants, linking ecosystem ecology with biogeography.
I know him in person, and he has sense of humour, but is very proffesional, he dont like the people who dont work, and everybody of his team (like Lua and Pancho) are so funny and at same time also scientifics.
Currently in the Laboratory where he works, i am helping to modeling the ecologycal niche of the Escholtzia Californica, a beautyfull flower than live in almost all of Chile, but that is spreading like a plague by removing the habitat of native plants.
This type of research are very important becouse can be an essential component to address climate change and future transformations of our habitat.
